KNEE PAIN

KNEE PAIN- simply defined, is pain you feel around your knees either in sitting, stnfing or lying posture. Knee pain can be localised or referred from the thigh or leg muscles. Knee pain can be caused by direct injury to the knee during sports activities, domestic fall or other injuries. Knee pain can also be cased by aging of the joints as in the elderly. Pain usually originate from injury, sprain or strain of the ligaments, tendons, bursa, meniscus, the muscles acting on the knees and of course from wear and tear of the cartilage covering the surface of the bones that make up the joints.

Acute Knee can be managed by applying Ice/Cold pack for 7minutes, gentle massage with cold anti,inflammatory analgesic cream, and support with a splint like Knee brace/support especially on weight bearing.
